JLAB consists of two teams: leadership and academic. The leadership team focuses on JROTC curriculum, and the academic team focuses on all academic subjects and JROTC curriculum. The teams compete in levels I, II, and III competitions. Ridge Community High School is the first high school in Polk county to take their leadership team to the J-LAB championships in Washington DC in the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 school years.
